Frequencies

Vibration and connection: the physical keys to the universe and life

Exploring the frequencies that govern the relationships between physics, music and living systems can help us develop their most effective therapeutic applications.

Research

The healing power of sound and electromagnetism

In physics, frequency describes phenomena such as sound waves, electromagnetic waves and the oscillatory processes found in many biological systems.

Pre-polyphonic sound, in particular – understood as a primordial, uncoded form of sound – is capable of bringing different elements into resonance, synchronising them without conflict. Roberto Pinelli studies the laws governing these phenomena and their potential medical applications, using sound [1] and electromagnetic frequencies [2] with the aim of restoring functional coherence within the body, reducing calcification and helping it return to a healthier state.

From pre-polyphonic frequencies to therapeutic harmonies

Music has always been an integral part of Roberto Pinelli’s research journey. His experience as a pianist and orchestra conductor has given him a first-hand sense of the parallels between musical relationships and the geometries found in nature.

For him, rhythm, tempo and tonality provide keys to understanding not only musical scores, but also the physical frequencies that govern different aspects of the cosmos and various functions of human physiology.

Q&A Frequencies

Q&A 01

What is meant by ‘frequencies’ in this context?

The term refers to measurable phenomena such as sound waves, electromagnetic waves and oscillatory processes found in living systems. In this research, frequencies are viewed as physical languages through which relationships, rhythms and states of balance can be organised.

Q&A 02

Why is sound central to this journey?

For Roberto Pinelli, sound—particularly in its pre-polyphonic, uncodified form—can bring different elements into resonance, allowing them to synchronise without conflict. It provides a link between his musical experience, clinical observation and understanding of the geometries found in nature.

Q&A 03

How can these frequencies be used therapeutically?

The working hypothesis is that carefully calibrated sound and electromagnetic frequencies can help the body restore functional coherence, supporting rebalancing, regulation and well-being within an integrated approach to medicine.

Q&A 04

Do you believe music can also influence our brain and our sense of well-being?

Absolutely. Someone once said that without sound and music, life would be a mistake. Music is part of our very existence because, as scientific research has shown, our cells are associated with acoustic vibrations and emissions. So there is no doubt in my mind: music is life.

Q&A 05

What is the difference between the music we listen to and the vibrations you describe in your book?

The music we listen to, whatever its form, is created by human beings. Vibration is not: it is part of our planet, part of the universe. I am referring to very low-frequency vibrations, between 4 and 8 hertz, in the range around what is known as the Schumann resonance, which I believe plays a role in the way plants communicate with one another. These vibrations existed long before human beings appeared, whereas music came later. In this sense, we can say that without vibration, there would be no music.
