Biography

A journey through medicine, science and vision

A path in constant evolution, in search of the hidden harmony that unites the frequencies of physics with the biology of the soul.

Biography

A background in music and medicine

Born in Brescia, Roberto Pinelli was drawn early on to both music and medicine, sensing a subtle affinity between the two. After graduating in Piano from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, he continued his musical studies in the United States, becoming an orchestral conductor under Maestro Seiji Ozawa at the Tanglewood Music Festival near Boston, Massachusetts. At the same time, he earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan and later specialized in Ophthalmology.

Research

Light as therapy and as key

Clinical observation of patients revealed that Roberto Pinelli’s eye treatments were producing unexpected benefits at a systemic level as well. This led to the intuition that light may be involved in stimulating intracranial organs located beyond the eye itself. From there began a broader line of inquiry in which light became not only a surgical instrument, but also a biological, therapeutic and interpretive key to understanding the relationship between organism, perception and consciousness.

Clinical practice

Clinical practice

Long experience in vision surgery, shaped by non-invasive protocols that respect the body’s natural balance.

Research

Research

An ongoing investigation into the role of light and frequencies in the body’s balance, the pineal gland and its regenerative functions.

Author and musician

Q&A

Q&A 01

Many people call him "the surgeon who works with light." What does that mean exactly?

Light is life. It shaped the planet through vibration and remains in complete harmony with it. To preserve or restore human health with light is therefore the highest goal a surgeon can pursue, because it combines non-invasiveness, power and natural coherence.

Q&A 02

As a neuroscientist, what is his field of investigation?

The therapeutic triad I have identified, based on light, sound vibrations and nutraceuticals, applies first and foremost to retinal tissue, but it also produces beneficial effects on all organs connected to it through energetic pathways. It is an integrated model in which the nervous system, perception and cellular regeneration are deeply interrelated.

Q&A 03

Doctor, musician and orchestral conductor: how did such different passions come together?

In reality, making music and practicing medicine are the same thing. Medicine was born as a sacred art, and music as therapy. Scores and counterpoint came later, but the earliest form of music was already a healing gesture. That continuity has always guided my path.

Q&A 04

Has your experience as a musician influenced the way you do scientific research?

If I had never played, composed or conducted, I would never have created anything in medicine either. Creativity is not confined to a single field; it is inherently multidisciplinary. In my journey, music has certainly helped medicine move beyond rigid boundaries and imagine new therapeutic possibilities.
