Why is the pineal gland connected to the eyes and vision?

The pineal gland is located at the center of our brain and, despite this, has receptors able to perceive light. This suggests that it may once have been a true third eye, as it is still called in some ancient cultures. Its sensitivity to light means that the different light frequencies it receives through the portal of the eyes cause it to react, prompting it to produce substances that are then conveyed throughout our body in the form of physiological ‘instructions’.

Why did you decide to produce nutraceuticals?

My decision arose from studying the world of botany. That is where I found the key to neurosciences applied to photobiomodulation therapy. For plants, in fact, light is nourishment: this is why we can draw from the plant world all the biogenic elements useful for human cellular health. Today many researchers are investigating the affinities between human beings and the plant dimension; at the same time, the study of light as an element that stimulates cellular regeneration has opened the way to research on mitochondria, the intracellular organelles responsible for producing vital energy. Nutraceuticals, which synthesize plant biogenic elements and make them available for intake in herbal form, therefore represent the most scientifically advanced branch of the supplement world: plants grow by feeding on sunlight, and by taking their extracts, we in turn feed on light.
